The results of the Open Call for a short-term artist residency at Pó de Vir a Ser are out. Luis Plácido Costa was the selected artist.

Luis Plácido Costa was born in 1981 and he lives and works in Lisbon and Alcobaça. In his artistic practice, Luis Plácido Costa works the notions of space, cultural heritage and matter, often resorting to the displacement of objects and to the construction of syntheses that invoke multiple meanings. The jury considered his proposal as the one that best met the interests of the “Workshops of Possibility” project, that originated this open call.

In total, 22 applications from artists of multiple fields were submitted, and the selection process was challenging. The judging panel was composed of Mariana Mata Passos and Pedro Fazenda, from Pó de Vir a Ser, and by artists Renata Bueno and Rui Horta Pereira.
